An adopted man travels to meet the refugee relatives he never knew, searching for the truth, only to find it shadowed by fragments of war and the myth of identity unraveling around him.
I'm a Middle Eastern filmmaker based in Chicago, IL. My work expresses themes about cultural upbringing, adoption, and personal documentary with awards from the Hollywood Screenings Film Festival in Los Angeles, the Liverpool Underground Film Festival, and the Milwaukee Film Festival. I’m also the Head Coordinator of the Black Harvest Film Festival at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a 2021 NYC Firelight Regional Groundwork Lab member.
